Storm at Sea III.  (After Turner)  (2008) Oil on canvasboard, 40x50 cm.
Marine
Inspiration from Joseph Mallord William Turner's Snow Storm: Steam Boat off a Harbour's Mouth (1842) at the Tate.

The paintings in the "Abstract landscape" series are
inspired by the artist's connections to Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Washington D.C. in the U.S., and by the artist's new surroundings in The Hague (Den Haag), Netherlands.   These landscapes are derived from sketches, imagination, photos, paintings by Courbet, Whistler, or Turner, or memories.
